Congregational Breakfast – The Supreme Sacrifice of Two St. Andrew’s Men – November 4
In World War 1, William Heron and Fred Strickland – both from St. Andrew’s Scarborough – made the supreme sacrifice fighting in the trenches in France. Our own David Pottinger will tell their story, including his visit to their graves during the 100th Anniversary Gathering earlier this year.
The event is sponsored by the Men’s group, but everyone is welcome to enjoy breakfast and hear this fascinating story.
Breakfast starts at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
