Pastor Duncan Cameron
Senior Pastor
Duncan has been the pastor of St. Andrew's since 1997 and continues to be blessed as part of the St. Andrew's family. Duncan has been married to Cynthia since 1988. They are parents to three, and grandparents to three more! Duncan's personal call is to make God known. He seeks to live out that call through Biblical preaching that points people to God's unique intervention in this world in Jesus.
Pastor Monica McClure
Associate Pastor
Monica was called as the associate pastor at St. Andrew’s in the fall of 2015. She is delighted to serve God as a part of the warm and welcoming Christian fellowship of St. Andrew's, Scarborough. Monica's calling is to provide pastoral care within the congregation, as well as assisting in leading worship and preaching. Her heart's desire is that others may come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Prior to entering the ministry, Monica was a teacher/administrator in English as a Second Language for Newcomers to Canada, in the Durham District School Board. In this position, she had the privilege of welcoming immigrants and refugees to Canada from around the world. Monica completed her seminary studies at Knox College, at the University of Toronto. She and her husband Brian have three daughters, a son-in-law, and three young granddaughters!
Helen Simeonov
Director of Music
Helen Simeonov (nee Love) is very happy to continue serving as St. Andrew’s Music Director since 2006. She got her MUS. BAC. at U of T, taught music in North York schools (band, string, vocal), played symphonic bass, sang alto in choirs most recently Pax Christi, and teaches in her home studio. She was formerly Music Director at St. Mark's and Glen Ayr United Churches. Here at St. Andrew's Helen thoroughly enjoys leading the choir, praise team, and ringing hand-bells. Helen is happily married to Blago. She is a Christian, composer, poet, amateur actor, and plays various instruments. In her spare time Helen likes to garden, read, travel, Scottish country dance, and play bocce ball and Wii-fit golf.
Carolyn Lessard
Children's Education
Carolyn came to St. Andrew's in 2016 and remains excited about the opportunity to serve the children and families of our community with fun and innovative programs. Her passion is supporting parents in the task of parenting their children. She studied at Ontario Bible College, where she majored in Christian Education and has further studies in child development. Carolyn has a teenaged daughter, who is the joy of her life.
Joanna McNeil
Secretary
Joanna’s gifting is administration and helpfulness, and her passion for God and people makes her a good fit for the job of Church Secretary.
Alain Virgin
Youth Unlimited Youth Worker
In partnership with Youth Unlimited Alain serves the youth in our church and in the community of St. Andrew's. Alain has served as a missionary in Scarborough on the DOXA team since January 2009.
Alain and Amy married in 2004 and their daughter was born just a month after Alain graduated from Tyndale University College in 2008. Alain has a lifelong passion for serving youth in Toronto; serving Christ Jesus through various outreach and discipleship ministries since he was 11 years old.
