Interim Moderator
Rev. Joseph Choi and his wife, Cathy, have been blessed with two children, Joshua & Sophie. The family loves reading, doing crafts and enjoying the outdoors. Pastor Joe (as he is fondly known) loves to meet people and can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time. His hobbies include tennis, cycling, fishing & canoeing.
Joanna McNeil
Secretary
Joanna’s gifting is administration and helpfulness, and her passion for God and people makes her a good fit for the job of Church Secretary.
Helen Simeonov
Director of Music
Helen Simeonov (nee Love) is very happy to continue serving as St. Andrew’s Music Director since 2006. She got her MUS. BAC. at U of T, taught music in North York schools (band, string, vocal), played symphonic bass, sang alto in choirs most recently Pax Christi, and teaches in her home studio. She was formerly Music Director at St. Mark's and Glen Ayr United Churches. Here at St. Andrew's Helen thoroughly enjoys leading the choir, praise team, and ringing hand-bells. Helen is happily married to Blago. She is a Christian, composer, poet, amateur actor, and plays various instruments. In her spare time Helen likes to garden, read, travel, Scottish country dance, and play bocce ball and Wii-fit golf.
Carolyn Lessard
Children's Education
Carolyn came to St. Andrew's in 2016 and remains excited about the opportunity to serve the children and families of our community with fun and innovative programs. Her passion is supporting parents in the task of parenting their children. She studied at Ontario Bible College, where she majored in Christian Education and has further studies in child development. Carolyn has a young adult daughter, who is the joy of her life.
Renée Gostlin
Youth Ministry Director and Digital Media Coordinator
Renée has attended St Andrew's since 2004 and is excited to serve the next generation of followers of Jesus both through ministering to youth and through outreach on social media. She has a passion for working with young people, working with Youth Unlimited in different capacities since 2015. Renée has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa, and has worked in Elementary Schools in Toronto and Yellowknife as a teacher, EA, and art therapy intern. She is currently working towards completing her degree in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and is hopeful to use these skills to continue to serve young people in many areas of their lives.
